a poem for miss renoir

a poem for miss renoir

pity the woman
who loves
a poet

for her man
is a man
of idle
sensibilities

and broken
speech/sleep
patterns

forever pining
after the
ephemeral
allure of
his muse

half-drunk
with hidden
rhymes

when more
earthly
matters
than mere art
call for
devotion

nothing can
replace
the lover’s
ardent
loving
embrace

so now know
you in truth
that this is the
dilemma of
the woman
miss renoir
who is
this poet’s
muse

Just some guy trying to figure out where the "on" switch is hid on the remote control—ah, forget it. Because, you know what, I'm also the kinda guy who always likes the book waaay more than the movie! View all posts by Lorem Ipsum

I think I have a lot of catching up to do here. I read this one and again, it struck a chord. I have to temporarily stop things as my husband had an accident and is currently in hospital, so I didn’t give up on writing. A deal is a deal 🙂 Will come back soon. Take care!
