A little while ago, I got kind of obsessed about scouring the Internet for any words of wisdom that might help me in my day-to-day life.
And so, here is a list of those sayings — in no particular order — which resonated with me the most during my search. I hope they can be of some benefit to you also. Please, enjoy!
Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Be sincere in all matters.
If you wished for something and didn’t get it, try working for it.
Rather than spending all your time trying to get even with someone, wouldn’t it be better to try getting ahead instead?
Never pass up an opportunity to take a piss, get some sleep and/or keep your mouth shut.
Who other people think you are is your reputation; who you actually are is your character.
People can’t make you think less of yourself without your consent.
I don’t want anything that doesn’t belong to me.
Don’t make a priority of other people for whom you are only an option.
Diffusing a minute of anger can save you from a day of sorrow.
What other people think of you is none of your business.
Find something in life worth dying for…and then live for it instead.
Success has many fathers; Failure is an orphan.
Never take no for an answer from someone without the authority to say yes.
You can’t complain unless you’re alive.
Run with the ball until you get tackled.
